Made exclusively from GRAND CRU Pinot Noir grapes from Mailly, this champagne is ample and harmonious, perfect for lovers of fine wines with plenty of character.
A golden yellow color, with aromas of brioche, plum and nutmeg.
Perfectly balanced on the palate between acidity and aromatic richness. Flavours of biscuit and cherry brandy, punctuated by a tonic finish of the zest of lemon.
The robust personality of this champagne means that it can be enjoyed during a meal with dishes such as roast game and full-flavoured sauces.
Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier: A deep straw and golden hues with an even bead lead to a bouquet and palate of weight and richness, flavours of aged pear and baked apple, then citrus; the autolysis is dense and rich, fruit flavours sit nicely mid-palate. The mousse is even with a fine to moderate bubble, the texture is satin-like and the finish is crisp, dry and slightly saline. There’s a chalky and white clay mineral seam adding complexity and breadth. Balanced, well made and lengthy. best drinking from 2023 through 2030. 93+ Points (="EXCELLENT"), Nov 2023.
